Good things come from Chicago. OpticsPlanet-- for one, some of the world's best pizza and hot dogs, Buddy Guy, and another good thing to start out in Chicago was Galco Gunleather! It began in 1969 as a small family business created by Richard N. Gallagher (though the company was then known as The Original Jackass Leather Company). Years went by and the name and location changed, but many innovative, quality designs and a good deal of Miami Vice-inspired fame later, and Galco is still producing unrivalled holsters, rigs, and more (albeit in Phoenix now). Don't get me wrong! Phoenix is a great city too, and I imagine it is responsible for the name of one of Galco's particularly excellent holsters.
